today i feel… that it might be better to depend on frens for company.
perhaps i shld add “at times” to that statement, lest it looks too cynical.

at least when a grp of frens cannot accompany u, u have e choice of askin another grp of frens out.
if we depend solely on a person for company, we risk bein disappointed if the person is unable to spend e time wif us. basically it goes against the theory of diversification of risks too.

sianz.. wonder if my ACS classmates r free to meet up for dinner tmr.
usually i’d have met my bf on e last day of exams, but this time round i thot of catchin up over dinner after exams. since it’s so difficult to organise any class gathering when everyone’s schedule doesnt fit. the after-exam dinner sounds like a good plan!

then again.. i wonder if everyone else has someone more impt to meet.

some time back i received an email from cozycot to join this challenge:

wat i had to do was:

Round 1: Write in < 100 words, why i shld be selected.
sounds easier than writing a blog entry, so i wrote a short note and sent to them.

Round 2: submit a photo of myself
tuck tuck was my photographer n we took some pics of me w/o makeup.

and so i cleared 2 rounds and was accepted for the challenge!

today i visited their office to collect my vichy products to be used for the next 4 wks, and was delightfully surprised to see them givin the contestants the entire range of vichy products!

sounds like fun!

the only thing was.. they made me take another pic w/o makeup today again, with their own camera. if selected, the photo (b4 n after) might be used for loreal’s marketing materials etc. i think i look like crap la.. i squinted my eyes n looked like a mouse again. took another pic but looked worse. sucks man. i hope they dun publish my photos!

anyway it’s only one leg of the journey.. meaning tuck tuck can fly there but cannot fly back yet, unless his other tix gets confirmed as well. damn gong la. so wat r we supposed to do now?

melbourne seems like a much more interestin place, but given the short time we have for this trip, i’m afraid we might not get to enjoy much of melb. aiyer.. 真无聊 la!

there’s even a jap store beside e food court!

nevertheless we gave the eatery a try for its novelty factor. we ordered a honey ham okonomiyaki (miss it so much since we last ate it in Tokyo!) and a seafood omu rice for sharing.

me wif e okonomiyaki. ahh i look like crap. crap crap crap.

and the verdict? boo.

i dun mean to be discouraging, but the standard is pretty lacking. the difference bw Japanese okonomiyaki n its Singaporean counterpart is tt the Jap version mixes e egg wif e cabbage n fries the entire mixture till it’s golden brown n yummy. the SG version comes wif an egg on top of the fried cabbage, so below e egg i jus felt like i was eating mushy cabbage. eeew..

the omu rice did not have ketchup in it. i dun like omu rice without ketchup.. n the creamy sauce only made me feel more nauseous after eating e mushy cabbage. boohoo. i ended up losing my appetite.

the only fun thing? i found my mini qoo drink.. me n cousin loved it (the packaging actually) so much in my 2nd last trip to Tokyo tt we lugged back like 10+ bottles! haha..

now that our bali trip has to be cancelled against our wish (due to a knn seriously overbooked SQ flight), a whole new series of research has started to find a new destination for our short summer getaway!

i looked at a couple of places - think Maldives, Tahiti, and all e exotic islands - but soon realised they were too exp.. ah duh. i decided that honeymoon cld be a trip to the exotic achipaleago of French Polynesian islands, incl. the acclaimed paradises on Earth: Tahiti, Bora bora, Cook Islands etc etc. omg! i can’t wait! haha..

okok, wakin up frm my daydreaming, i shortlisted phuket and koh samui as our next destination. phuket was preferred as there appear to be more activities to do over there. cancan was almost set on gg to phuket, when tuck tuck jus hadda remind me of the tsunami tt happened not tt long ago. n he said there’re lots of ghosts in e sea. okay…

now i’m apprehensive abt e trip. i wanted to go snorkelling, diving, but apparently May is e start of e monsoon season n e seas may not be so safe. couple tt wif e ghosts in e sea? great. bleah!

nevertheless i got into e car n prepped myself to be more careful this time.
i started e car.. n yelps! e car cldnt be started!
it simply said “Gearbox Fault”. but it was fine when tuck tuck drove it in e morning..
i swear i din do a single thing to it!! it wasn’t me!!!

wtf then.. on a nice lazy wkend when we’d plan to go out later. boohoo.
if it’s truly a gearbox fault, tt’ll cost 8-10k+++ to replace!
wat crap.. let’s jus hope it’s a battery fault since e batt hasnt been replaced for yrs.
