me n darlin had our first outdoor night shoot at esplanade last wed! it was a really fun experience, mounting our cameras on tripods n fiddling wif different apertures, exposures etc..!
the class took almost 3hrs, but time passed really quickly when u’re focused on doin e small experiments wif different settings on e camera (our legs were killing us though). we din have a camera then so e school lent us a professional full frame Canon 5D! *weeet*

soon it was time to end e class. me n darlin stayed back to play wif more flash n night portraits, n e instructor was really helpful n offered to accompany us. in e end he also agreed to lend us the kick-ass Canon 5D camera home! yippee!

while cancan was puttin on her mask n washing up that nite, she noticed tuck tuck in various amusing curled-up postures on e bed. wondered wat he was up to.

there was a huge secret. Cancan knew abt it but din tell anyone cos there’re implications to lettin ppl noe that she noes. she believed if ppl knew tt she noes abt it, her source will be in danger.
at a lunch wif Girl, cancan din mention anythin cos she did not noe if Girl noes. towards e end of e lunch, Girl revealed tt she noes.. n briefly mentioned her conversation with Boy n someone else. i went “HUH!! u mean they let u noe that they noe??!” very surprised was I, as I thot it was a big-time secret, so much so tt i did not even dare mentioning it to anyone. chey..
so at nite over msn, i was talkin to Boy. decided to suan him a little.. so i said “eh, why u tell Girl never tell me! anyway i knew abt it long ago la!” but Boy appeared like he wanted to change e topic so i din talk abt it any more.
the next day, Girl called me in e office. she said Boy was very angry wif her cos he thot tt Girl told me tt HE told her. i was like “huh? why liddat?” ok yeah e way i asked tt qn made it seem so, but i was jus teasing him. it was so common for such teasin between us in e past. n Girl had made it very clear during lunch tt she knew it from another person yyy so there’s no way i was thinkin tt Boy was e one who told Girl e secret.
so i felt kinda bad abt it, n said i will call Boy to explain myself. n so i did, n he behaved like he wasnt even angry n Girl was jus too sensitive. after e call, i texted GIrl n said he’s not angry n he will call her. in e end, Girl said tt Boy still believes tt i think tt Boy has told Girl the huge secret, which at e end of e day will affect his credibility, and Girl’s big reaction now will only prove further tt that’s e truth.
so i said “i’ve alrdy explained to him. is he tryin to pull ur leg?” –> stupid cancan still thinkin tt no one in this world has ill intentions n he was jus “pretendin” to be angry.
and Girl said “let’s leave e matter as it is” and went unbelievably defensive: “But i am now much closer to xxx than when u left. Why can’t he tell me sthg n not you?” “Anyway zzz (a 3rd party at lunch e other day) confirmed tt i din say who told me e news n zzz guessed it was yyy”.
erm ok.. seriously. firstly, i DID NOT ask e qn “why u tell Girl, never tell me” becos i was jealous tt Girl is now closer to Boy n unhappy/puzzled/complaining tt he told her sthg n did not tell me. it was meant to suan him since e entire secret appeared to have become an open secret.
“HELLO… 小姐! 几岁了!!”why do ppl sound so nasty when they’re defensive?
secondly, to even ask a 3rd party to confirm her words.. that’s really quite unexpected. anyway my final reply was “u said yyy announced to everyone. i din even think it was a guess thing.” yup so i knew exactly who told Girl the secret, and all that crap was jus asked in a jokingly manner!
but u noe wat? e only times ppl over-react, r e times they’re guilty of sthg. n do i look like i give a damn if it’s true or not? or wld i go ard tellin ppl this when i’ve been keepin it secret for so long?
n u noe wat? the only times cancan gets stunned like this r e times she mistakes ppl as her close frens in her circle of trust. sorry man, but i think u gotta wake up ur idea,

n at e end of e day, i looked at where i was n felt kinda glad tt at least i’m in an office without such weird tongues. and i really mean tongue in every single way. yucks.
today while in e toilet at vivocity, a girl was emitting a very very strong smell, which reminded me of e yucky white cough syrup which we used to drink when we were young. it was really strong n almost unbearable. i almost felt like puking.. eeks. i hope that’s not her perfume..(!)

when i tried opening an excel file ytd, i saw lots of #REF, #REF, #REF all over e file.
upon closer examination, i realised those cells were linked to an external file which had gone missing! sidenote: e other time someone had moved my entire workin folder n HIDDEN the whole damn thing!
i immediately requested IT to help retrieve e file frm e server backup.
the retrieval was successful from Monday’s backup tape.
which means e file was only deleted on Tuesday since it managed to be backed up on Mon nite.
which also means tt someone had deleted my file.. cos i was on mc on Tues! OMG!
seriously i haven’t got any inkling who in e dept can be so sick to wanna sabo me again n again.
last sunday we visited e newly opened Marina Barrage! e place was really inaccessible.. they had a shuttle bus at marina bay mrt station, but that din benefit us since we drove there. e map of Marina Barrage in e papers was really crappy n useless, n e signages placed along e streets were also small n easily missed.
we hadda go in rounds ard raffles place before we found e place!
nice place to hang out at, but there aint many places where u can sit ard..
it was CROWDED!!!
seriously din expect so many ppl to be there. these ppl were alrdy queueing for e shuttle bus back to marina bay mrt when we got there. guess there isnt that much to do at tt place after all.. heh.

i felt a lil lost at e place. it was spacious but crowded, n there din seem to be anythin specific for us to “see”. we decided to go to the “sustainable singapore gallery”.

when it is low tide (sea) n the reservoir is flooded, the valves will open to allow water to flow out into e sea. on e other hand, when e tide is high n e reservoir is flooded, the barrage has a pump system to pump water out into e sea! cool…
soon we reached e final part of e gallery..
some quirky idea again - treading on glass. they said it felt a lil scary but i din feel anythin leh.
before we left, we made some e-postcards n mailed it to ourselves!
ok end of gallery.. an informative session most suitable for primary school kids. i din mind gg thru e exhibition, but such exhibitions r not sthg tt’ll keep e customers/tourists comin back. oh wateva.. maybe e barrage will make a good hang out place after e IR is up!
we decided to go to e rooftop, but there were police n other personnel blocking e pathway, claiming tt they’ve received lightning warnings n will close e area. eeks..

then we decided tt there aint anythin else to do n left e place. since it was drizzling for a while when we got there, the roads were wet and EXTREMELY MUDDY! i have no idea why e carpark lots were all filled wif mud. yuck!
it was at e carpark when cancan got bitten by a big red ant! not once, not twice, but many many many times! that stupid red ant crawled into my stocking n started biting me continuously. i tried to kill it by squeezin on it, but it jus wldnt die n kept bitin me! i was cryin for help n really wanted to take off my stockin there n then, but tuck tuck kept sayin tt we’ll reach e car “soon, soon”. boohoo… finally we got to e car n immediately i removed my stockin, only to find tt bloody ant still havin fun wif its biting game. i took it in my fingers n squeezed it to its death. i told tuck tuck i shld’ve let it die a more painful death (eg. steaming it or burning it..). saddist lol.. *ants r candy’s greatest enemy!!*
it was a long wkend! we went on a double date last sat wif fiona n nic at Ritz Carlton, where we had afternoon tea buffet at the elegant Chihuly lounge.

the desserts were a mix of asian n western delights.. both me n fiona wld much prefer a real english tea buffet, but nevertheless we had a fun time together tt afternoon!

the very yummy pancakes which i think gave me a bad diarrhea wahaha!
that very nite i had one of e worst diarrheas ever in my life. it must have been caused by the little flies that were hovering over e fresh fruits when we left e food there. boohoo.. flies at Chihuly Lounge? yeah tt’s right. they flew in frm e garden outside n rested on our food while we happily chatted away. i wrote an email to Ritz Carlton after e incident but din even receive any response frm them. lousy.

we stayed at e lounge till 7pm, before i changed into my dress to attend a fren’s wedding. the glass decor by the famous artist Dale Chihuly looks cool in e background!
a great experience we had, great company we enjoyed! let’s do this more often!
