Final Week in LondonTown #2
as mentioned it was a week of good food n fun in the exciting Londontown!
we were bent on tryin out a few interesting n popular restaurants before leavin the city. our first stop was Babylon at Kensington Roof Gardens! the restuarant is situated on the roof terrace, amidst some “hanging gardens” (or so they call it) in e middle of e happening Kensington High St area!

tuckie had a very nice spidercrab soup

the food took half an hr to be served tho. tuckie wif his rabbit confit!

i had a fresh n well-cooked lobster platter! happie!

Us happy wif e place n e meal! love e food!

as usual cancan got some unique mix of strawberries, cream n meringue for dessert

after e meal, we saw some flamingos sunbathing in e gardens!

the VERY interestin toilet, where i can see e gents frm below e runnin tap!
the handwash n lotion were frm molton brown, but i think it smells eeky! hehe..

the following day, we headed for e highlight meal of the entire wk! lunch at a highly acclaimed japanese restaurant, Nobu! it is a Michelin 1-star restaurant at Metropolitan Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel opened by Singaporeans!

since we havent got any Michelin star restaurants in Singapore, cancan was naturally uber thrilled!

i had the popular Nobu bento set..

indeed, the black cod melts in ur mouth. the best i’ve ever tasted!

tuckie had some unique (weird) squid pasta. he’s bad at orderin nice food haha!
after lunch, we passed by e beautiful Hyde Park Corner to soak ourselves in e much missed sun! the weather was great n e pics turned out pretty!

me with e Wellington Arch

siao lang at hyde park corner haha..

love this pic! against e bronze gate of Wellington Arch.

on another day, we checked out the Tate Modern Restaurant, which also boasts rooftop views of the city, as well as the River Thames. the view was indeed lovely.. we were seated by e window and cld see St Pauls frm e restaurant.

i love e quiet River Thames wif e glamourous St Paul’s in e bg.

my model for e day. my dt, my love.

i had very good haddock fish n chips tt day at Tate Modern Restaurant. bet tuckie immediately regretted ordering his weird weird salmon salad haha.
we’ve had quite a couple of nice fish n chips in London alrdy.. so this din come as any big surprise. nevertheless it was yet another good meal in Londontown for cancan! YAY!

darling at e bottom of Millenium Bridge after e meal..

on another occasion, we had lunch at Inn the Park at St James’s Park. it was an interesting lakeside restaurant set in the middle of the very fun St James’s Park!
me at Inn the Park.. where service was really not as good as at e previous restaurants.

some very nice unique soup we had again..
it wasnt long before we realised tt a romantic meal in e park also includes some dust n lotsa park-goers peeking into e restaurant. lol..

i had beef steak again.. it was very good!

this time darlin decided to be safe n went for beer battered haddock haha!
the food was pretty good at Inn the Park, but really i din think e bill was justifiable still! it went up to £60+ n was even more exp than our wonderful meal at Nobu. wat!! i cldnt even believe it.. i’d rather go back Nobu than to eat here! n given e bad service we encountered, i’m even more convinced tt this will not a restaurant i’ll be recommending to anyone. hmph!
ok forget abt e stupid meal.. after e meal we stayed ard in St James’s Park. it was really fun!

we saw cute squirrels!!
cancan was so happy in e park, she started skippin ard like a young girl!
tuck tuck on e other hand felt really happy to see his baby so carefree n innocent. it’s a scene i’ll always wanna keep in my heart, remindin us of how warm n pure our love has been.

cancan trying hard to pose wif e geese, but they cldnt be bothered wif her..

then she tried to be funny n pretended to feed e swan
swannie got conned a few times n swam towards cancan, thinkin there was food in e hand. after 3-4 times, swannie got angry n decided to bite cancan’s hand!! OMG! luckily swans have no teeth so it din hurt at all but e shock made cancan squeal n made others think she was mad haha.

on the sunday before we left for our summer trip, we had sunday roast at Masque Haunt, a cosy pub jus off Bath Street.

i had e beef set while dt had pork.. see our new dt babies!
hmmm.. i think after a wk of real good food, the sunday roast din turn out as delicious as we expected it to be. nevertheless, tuck tuck still loves e feel of e cosy pub, which also reminds me very much of our place in london n the sweet memories we shared.
after brunch, it was time to go for some shopping at Spitalfields mkt and Columbia mkt, in search of my pretty vintage skirt!

okie tt’s all for now.. watch out for e final entry on LDN TOWN!
