over the wkend…

me n amelia went to check out Spitalfields Mkt over e wkend. it was a hot hot hot sunny day! i ended up wif a splittin headache frm too much sunday sun.. boohoo. i hate e sun bleah!

today i went shoppin wif Uzma at oxford street (again)..
we checked out e happening Carnaby St, but din manage to spot any celebrity haha!


i bought this pair of dune flat pumps!
they cost a whoopin £40 but i really love them!

n then to end off my shoppin trip, i visited the 4th H&M outlet near tottenham court road, as usual.. when i got there, e entire road was closed. police n reporters were everywhere n e situation appeared tense. apparently a man was stabbed to death at e macdonalds on the street. gosh.. freaky shit.

Euro Disney!

heh.. rem tt i went to euro disney in paris last mth? it was part of my paris trip, but since i’m gg paris again next mth, i shan’t be bloggin abt e same place now.

that’s e new added attraction which is a thrilling ride which involves sudden drops frm e top of e hotel. OMG can’t believe we went for e ride unknowing of wat we were gettin into. almost died of heart attack.. i think i screamed like i was being raped while in e ride! dammit.. e ang moh beside me must be quite amused. bleah..

i thot it was really good but apparently they’re not used to e food. bleah.

parade! was e same as ytd’s.. bleah.

weather was perfect, disneyland was pretty but somehow the atmosphere feels a lil different. it’s more like a theme park for kids - u’ll see loads of parents bringin their kids, unlike in tokyo disneyland where there’re equal no. of kawaii girls (like me) n kids ard..

no matter where u are in e tokyo disney resorts, happy disney music will be playing which makes everyone feel so happy n energetic. in paris disneyland, i felt lethargic walkin ard that big big park. haha! e smaller paris disney studios is also in NO WAY comparable to the beautiful disneysea in tokyo.

in 2006 i spent 2 wks exploring tokyo but still found e time too short! gosh.. wat a fascinating n interesting place. i love tokyo!! wished we can do a big time long trip in tokyo again, but this dec our trip highlight will be hokkaido since i havent been there before. somehow after touring so much of europe, i miss tourin japan badly.. haha!

we had lunch at a nice belgium place called Belgo. i had yummy mussels n chips which weren’t exactly filling.. we took pics wif chris’s prosumer camera but i havent got them frm her yet..

n then we went shoppin at oxford street, my fave haunt.
i walked till my feet were numb again, but din get anythin i wanted to get. damn..

Kensington Palace on a bright n sunny Wednesday!

it was a bright n sunny day again ytd! it was warm, warm, warm.. i think i will vaporise in singapore haha.

me n amelia went to Kensington Palace on this very lovely day! i love e weather n it was perfect for a picnic or a tan wahaha. oh yeah we realised e brits tan in a garden cos there aint any beaches nearby wahaha!

Kensington Palace was quite good! but it was kinda small for a £13+ tix.. oh well tt’s e price of a full priced tix. we signed up for an annual joint membership at only £60. i asked amelia to put her mum as e 2nd applicant instead of my name, cos by e time they send e permanent card, i’d have left e ctry alrdy.. so i paid only half of my share, which is £15! n that gives me UNLIMITED FREE ENTRY TO 5 PALACES!!! yippee! wat a good deal!

e cafe outside e palace - our tour of e State Apartments ended rather quickly since it was a small place.

after e tour, we went to e nearby bayswater for lunch. heard tt e chef frm e famous Four Seasons have moved to Gold Mine, so we decided to try out e new place.

the duck was ok only leh.. sauce was sweet n nice, but overall it wasnt fantastic yet. i stll prefer beef to duck hehe..

after lunch, we walked towards notting hill… TO GET MY CUPCAKES!!

cupcakes galore at Hummingbird Bakery!

i saw a persistent long queue outside e shop e last time i came to Portobello Mkt durin a wkend. been cravin for it for some time so today we decided to come check it out. i thot they had more variety durin wkends..

i asked e girl in e bakery how long we can keep e cupcakes for. that was crap, cos i finished all of them IN ONE DAY! oh well, they weren’t fantastic either. e frostin was not bad, but e sponge cake was kinda dry.. i like moist cakes better.

n then that one wif a white frosting.. tt’s got a pretty name called Red Velvet. e frostin seriously tastes like puke, but amelia likes it. heehee.. it comes wif blood red sponge, which somewat made e cupcake more edible cos it covers e pukish taste of e white frosting haha. damn.. waste money la!

when i reached home, my balls of my feet were so painful, they felt like they were burning! e burnin sensation lasted for a few hrs, n then i decided to meet amelia at e gym. ran for abt 40min includin cool-down.. n i ran for abt 40+ min e night before! OMG I’M 超人迪加! tt’s e name of ultraman.. i used to call myself ultraman’s gf when i was in sec sch. SIAO….

Tons of good shows for Summer 2008!

oh man! we watched like 25min of trailer jus now in e cinema. tt’s crazy, but there’re loads of good shows comin up!! i wanna watch:

1) Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull!

this looks totally good!! i love adventure movies.
shall we watch this when u come over, darling??

2) The Mummy

i loved e previous movies so this shld be very good too!

3) Batman The Dark Knight

looks as cool as Iron Man! i love comic-inspired films!

4) The Duchess

love the setting of this movie! palaces n princesses haha! my cup of tea.

5) Mamma Mia

the main actress is not fabulous but e show looks cute!

6) Sex and the City

well, jus cos it’s SATC i gotta give it some credit rite..

7) The Other Boleyn Girl

this looks totally interesting to me! based on gregory philippa’s novel.
i think i have his book at home but havent read it yet haha!

the other boleyn girl’s alrdy showing, so perhaps i’ll ask amelia to go watch wif me! fortunately most of e other films r showin after late june so i can go back to SG n catch them wif my dt, at a much lower price! we cld go for e sofa seats at suntec. haha!

i’m thrilled!! can’t wait to go on my first real date wif dt in Singapore!

My Day at Leicester Square

I went out wif classmates Uzma n Joey today n hung out at Leicester Sq. we had lunch at Bella Italia. well i had lunch before that alrdy cos we were meetin quite late, so i only ordered starters. less than 10 calamari + some garlic bread cost me £8. wat crap..

then we went to Haagen Dazs for some ice cream before catchin a movie. i had e new Raspberries & Meringue wif a waffle, my choice obviously influenced by e cute plaster lookin meringue i saw at Selfridges food hall in my previous post. it was simply delicious! yum yum!! but it cost quite a bit too.

i hate e fact that lil’ sweet treats in London are always so bloody expensive.. it’s like things we cld do everyday, every wk in Singapore now becomes a luxury we do once in a long while. dammit. can’t wait to go back to SG to live a good life. hahaha!

n then we caught Iron Man at Odeon in Leicester Square. it was a really good show.. i love marvel films!! both Uzma n Joey were sayin i made a good recommendation, yay yay!

but seriously, i hated e cinema in Leicester Sq. because it’s downtown, e seats r all small n cramped n reminded me of Cineleisure! the tix was £13.50 compared to £6+ in Angel, where e seats r wider n there’s so much leg room, there’s no need to even give way to ppl gettin to their seats.

so halfway into e show, i got up to go to e toilet. this fuckin guy wif a gf was soo pissed, i thot he uttered “xxx fuck xxx”. he was asian, maybe chinese, n he almost felt like a bloody ugly singaporean, seriously. naturally i was fuming n wanted to demand for an apology, but i cldnt be sure if he said it, n i din wanna annoy even more ppl by talkin loudly. i noe it’s annoyin when ppl squeeze thru in e middle of a show, but i wldnt if i cld help it n i’ve alrdy apologised. damn that bloody CB fucker. pity e gf for bein wif such an ungentlemanly asshole.

on e tube back home, i saw this very rude ang moh lady who literally shoved a guy out of her way jus cos she wanted to rush onto e train. as she did that she said “move, for fucksake”. omg.. that was jus plain rudeness. this country really needs a courtesy campaign like wat we used to have in SG!

n then i went grocery shoppin at somerfield to stock up food for e long wkend. e bloody black woman at e till was a friggin bitch, first for not packin my stuffs for me - i cld’ve insisted tt she does it, but i noe they’re retarded n can’t do a good job even for simple things like this. i have grapes n eggs n canned baked beans among other things n i dun wan her to be squashin my grapes or breakin my eggs wif e cans. second, she was plain freakin rude n these ppl have no bloody idea of service in their brains, that’s if they have one to begin wif. goddammit.

yup so in a single day, i saw 3 rude ppl of different races - this kinda makes my entry less racist haha. i’m always affected by e bad things/ppl i see, even when they dun exactly happen on me. oh well.. that’s why i always say my fave country to travel in is still japan. everyone’s polite n customers r always superior n that’s perfect for anal ppl like snow white!
