lil’ snow white

we flew into Pisa cos snow white planned to go to The Mall to get a bag for work. so yup, here i am again in Pisa, but i think e photos turn out much nicer this time. we were both in white.. look so compatible wahaha! u reckon?

we spent a nite at quite a nice hotel in florence. check out those random shots we took in e hotel room tt turned out real nice!

my dt is a pig who falls aslp within 20 sec EVERY NITE!! oh gosh.. he always asks me to shake him up if he falls aslp, but how wld i bear to do that to my dearest darling! bleah.

in Florence, we visited Piazzale Michelangelo, a lovely place which i havent been to in Florence. it offers e prettiest views of Florence n is quite romantic haha. for e first time i din think Florence is a 鬼地方, but oh well everywhere else in e city centre is. even dt agrees it’s a dirty, ulu small town. eeks!

after Florence we finally got to the fashion city of MILANO!! i love Milan! it’s sucha trendy n happenin place! i can jus hang out at e duomo anytime man… we cld simply have lunch at e trendy restaurants, drink coffee, do some shoppin, enjoy life etc.. e Duomo area really gave me a damn tai-tai feel wahaha.

we visited the duomo area every single day we were there! OMG!

we were both awed by the magnificence of the Milano Duomo! my jaw literally dropped n i went “WOW” when i first saw e building! the gothic masterpiece is best viewed frm its roof terrace. on one day we went up e roof terrace when e weather was good n spent a very enjoyable afternoon at e place.

we also visited other places in Milan, but really i think nothin beats spendin time at e duomo area!

our trip then approached its highlight, as we took a short train ride to the beautiful Lake Como! Lake Como is one of e prettiest area in Europe, and dt has been wantin to go there since he was young.. wow wee! we had wanted to stay in Bellagio - tt’s e most romantic town in Europe(!!) - but e better hotels were full so we hadda stay in Tremezzo, abt 5min frm Bellagio on a romantic ferry ride!

on our last day, we visited e super touristy but really pretty Villa Carlotta. the villa offers excellent views of e enchantin Lake Como. on e top floor, i cld see ‘glittering stars’ in e lake caused by reflection of e sun’s rays! dt started takin pics of my back view while i was caught up wif e amazing sight. it was like some setting for MTV shoots haha..

soon it was time to leave e beautiful place for e airport. we thot our stay was a tad too short at Lake Como.. perhaps 3D2N wld’ve been better. couples, u MUST MUST MUST visit Lake Como n Bellagio!! it’s one of e most popular places to do weddin/proposal/honeymoon!

i’m sooooo tempted. i wanna stay in uk la, even for a while more. 屁啦!

i hate choices. crap.

transferring the design to e frame using graphite paper took one hr itself. gosh!

n then before i started on e real thing, some testing was done on wood blanks:

i burnt a small hole in this blank n pinned it on my notice board!

and the real burning started!

i really wanna punch those ppl who said pyrography was an easy art. well, the wood burns easily, but to control e hot iron n e strokes was anything but. i was convinced that it was 3 times more difficult for me cos i bought e £17 iron instead of the £120 professional pyrography set.

not only was the heat frm e iron inconsistent, making it bloody hard to control e drawing, e handle on e iron gets really hot in e process! i hadda put a plaster on my middle finger to prevent any blisters frm forming. oh man..

and then it was time to apply the varnish:

e varnish turned out to be e hardest thing to get. i took a long bus journey to an unheard of place called canonbury, walked 20 min to a residential area n finally came to this hardware store where i got the darn varnish.

felt like Eastenders!

burnt a hole in my specs cloth at e very last min.. damn!

and the final touch - my self written poem, etched onto e backing of the frame!

and… VOILA!

oh gosh! i think i am e luckiest girl in e world..

we’re gg to milan for our preliminary honeymoon tmr!! dt says we take a love vow at bellagio, e most romantic town in europe apparently.. which is on lake como, a place dt’s been wantin to go since he was much younger. i wonder wat a love vow is. but anyway… sweeeeet~! haha.
