Romantic Prague Feb 2008

finally im back frm e dreadful Paris trip.. here’s my Prague post before tt!

we started our day on a cloudy mornin at Wenceslas Square, e main shoppin area in prague. haha did some quite shiok shoppin at H&M, my current fave brand. i kinda got suckered again cos i paid in czech crowns which made my clothes much more exp than if i were to pay in euros. damn sian.. overspent big time in Prague.. but it was worth it haha!

at e monumental National Museum
oh yeah, im so sick of my baker boy. decided not to wear it again till next fall.

me on e streets after shoppin..

weather wasnt perfect, but as usual, e day never goes by gloomy wif candy ard!

as we reached e old town square, e clouds cleared n it started gettin bright n sunny! yay!! we took e chance to take more pics wif e Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, the Astronomical Clock Tower n even the Prague Castle at a distance! e pics were lovely..

i was especially fascinated wif e astronomical clock, which cld show e position of e sun n e moon in e sky. that was like awesomely cool! n below e astronomical dial there is another one which intricately displays e twelve apostles on its dial. nice..

we went up e tower and e view was good - much better than e crappy tower we went up at Stephansdom in Vienna (e cheat-money place) haha. by then e weather had turned perfect.. n we took loads of pics atop e tower! yay!

the lovely sunset as seen on King Charles Bridge

Charles Bridge is, in my opinion, e most romantic spot i’ve been to in Prague. lol.. ok i was wif amelia so, contrary to popular belief, it wasnt e company tt made e difference.. ppl had assumed i’d gone on e trip wif my new darlin dt lar, but nope.. it was really romantic n it made me think of him back then. :p

every couple should take a walk down King Charles Bridge and immerse themselves in the romantic feel of the Hradcany area. the view on the bridge was immensely beautiful and almost surreal.. romantic rivers lined wif stuccoed buildings, and the Prague Castle in the background.

*the lil’ princess dreams, dreams again.. of her warrior n their little fairy tale*

prague by nite..

we spotted a nice lookin restaurant by e river n decided to check it out

both amelia n i decided to try e baked trout tt prague is famous for. i was really impressed wif e service at e restaurant.. e waitor actually brought e fish to us on a serving trolley. beside him e chef waited as e amateurish lookin waitor boned e trout in front of us, n placed it on a plate before coverin it wif a silver lid. then both of them took one dish n placed it in front of each of us, n took cue to remove e lid simultaneously. wow wee!

me wif my baked trout n wine..

the visit to Prague Castle was really good too, although we din exactly have time to finish seein St Vitus cathedral. boohoo. they close at 4pm wth!! e walk frm e metro station to e castle was in itself an attraction haha. it was like a small quaint town wif paved roads n lovely architecture.

on our way we saw St Nicholas Church - hey hey my alma mater happens to be St Nicholas Girls’ School! that’s a baroque church wif a stunnin interior filled wif gilded marble n painted frescoes.

e interior of St Nicholas Church

me in e church

we spent too much time takin pics along e way as a result.. by e time we got our tix, we only had one hr to explore e entire royal compound. that’s crazy!! totally wasted our two-day tix - we din even have time to go back e followin day! boohoo..

yup but Prague was a really nice place to be in.. people are nice and place is beautiful! food was really good n affordable too!!

this is soooo good, compared to e exp but lousy food i’ve had in all other european places..

well, after all e nice comments i’ve had for Prague it’s not hard to guess tt i wldnt mind gg there again. perhaps in e not-so-near future wif my darlin, to stroll down Charles Bridge durin sunset hahaha!
