n so we arrived at Vienna in e evening. e next morning, we made our way to e popular Stephansdom, ie. St Stephan’s Cathedral. ok i wasnt a wee bit impressed wif wat i saw. e gothic bldg looked black n dirty. gosh.. why din they do maintenance??!! perhaps this is e diff b/w eastern n western europe eh..

n we got conned by this bugger!
we were approached by this stupid sweet talker who asked us to buy some concert tix. being big time suckers, we decided to get e tix. damn! before we went over i alrdy asked amelia if she was interested in watchin any concert; if she was we cld book tix online. she din reply n i thot she wasnt interested.. n freak now we hadda buy frm this dubious guy! so we ended up in some rather ulu place wif a rather makeshift-like concert hall!! WTH! 白痴啊!!

this is e bldg which houses e Imperial apts
n then we proceeded to e museums to see e silver collection, e imperial apartments n e famous Sisi museums. it’s so damn touristy man. e silver collection aint impressive at all, e imperial apts din look grand to me, n Sisi is jus a highly marketed character. gosh.. WAT CRAP!

the next day, we visited Belvedere, e summer palace. it was beautiful.. n e weather was really good too. but again i wasnt impressed.. pictures turned out really nice, but it wasnt an enjoyment to be at e place itself, unlike athens!

amelia went into e musem to see e famous painting “the kiss”. i wasnt interested at all leh.. i only like e vatican museums! so i decided to find a cafe n wait for her. e cake at e high class cafe was really good! yum yum again! finally sthg for me to rem in Vienna haha.
interesting things we saw in vienna:
u always have to pull e handle in e trains to open e door manually
that’s how newspapers/mags r sold.
u drop ur coin in, lift e flap n take a copy. or u cld jolly well not put any coin, lift e flap n take as many copies as u like! wonder how it’ll be like if we adopt this in SG.. haha. perhaps all e copies will be gone n there’ll be 2 x $1 coins found in e coin box!
Vienna, city of music. We had imagined it to be a very beautiful place, but like Florence, city of art, this place was somewhat not as impressive as we expected it to be. Stephansdom and Belvedere were beautiful, but still, nothin in Vienna really left an indelible impression in me. Salzburg was much better, but nothin comes close to Prague! Watch out for my next post! yeah so anyway, verdict is.. i doubt i’ll ever return to Vienna lar. wahaha.
