lil’ snow white

It was Guy Fawkes day on mon, 5 Nov.. this commerates the nite the Gunpowder Plot was foiled in 1605. the English usually celebrate this event with fireworks and burnin of effigies of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire.. ok anyway we were invited to a party at sunningdale last sat for this event, abt an hr frm london city by train. the house was HUGE, seriously.

we reached there at abt 7pm n it was really dark alrdy, n we cldnt see e end of e backyard! there was a tentage, DJ, bbq man etc.. it was like a weddin haha!

beside the huge garden, there was another section which serves as a football field. freak..

there’s even a fountain in front of the house! that whole area u see in the bg is part of the house!

the host (meifen’s fren) even hired a co to do up fireworks display, right in the backyard!! we watched national day-like fireworks up close for abt 20 min, till our necks hurt, but it was really good!

i experimented wif my 2nd piece of steak n ignored e label this time round. haha. i decided to cook it for a shorter time n voila! the steak turned out much better! it was abt medium-well n it was not tough at all! yay yay yay!!

let’s see if i get diarrhea tmr.. hehe.

me n classmate had lunch at an italian restaurant near sch on tues. i miss botak jones so much, so i ordered a freakin £10 grilled steak, half hopin it’ll be sthg like botak jones or at least e good one we had in bintan.

then e nice lady asked if i wanted salad or chips to go wif it.. n i swear i thot she meant it’s free n comes wif e steak, so i chose salad. in e end they served me a few shreds of cabbage n carrots - it was like i cld finish them in one mouth! n i was charged £2.50 for that dum thing. wth!!

e steak also din turn out to be nice at all. it was tough n bland n full of fats. ray said it’s prolly like how coffee shop steaks taste like.. i havent tried steak at coffee shops except at botak jones since i only started eatin steak recently haha.

so anyway i decided to try preparin my own version of e meal today. i marinated my steak wif a modified version of ziqi’s soy sauce marinade. the marinade used up damn alot of my soy sauce n oil leh..

then i prepared winter berry gravy n added mushrooms to it n the taste of e whole dish was really good! e only bad thing was i bought cheap steaks n the label said they hadda be cooked thoroughly.. so e meat turned out tough. boohoo.. think i shall go get better steak later after gym (n reuse the marinade??).

somehow the pic looks really nice! yummy.. i love steaks! the soy sauce marinade turned out good too tho e red wine vinegar taste was a bit too strong. xiao xing might prefer mushroom gravy tho.. i think i will prepare both when he comes over to visit! hee..

then i also prepared a big bowl of salad wif 1/3 bottle of thousand island sauce! wahaha.

this is so much better than the dum italian meal.. at half e price! hehehe..

some time back i tried cookin seafood fried noodles and it turned out really nice! haha.. i cooked 2 portions, for dinner n lunch, but i ended up eatin ALL for lunch! hahaha. dun worry.. it’s all part of the Gimme Bigger Boobs Plan hahaha! i’ve decided to stuff myself wif food here n work out in e gym regularly in hope tt i will have bigger boobs but not bigger thighs or tummy like e ang mohs LOL!

as i din have dark soy sauce, the noodles din turn out black black.. i personally prefer those dark colored, sweet char kuay tiao.. but this was nice on its own too!

anyway then i went to buy dark soy sauce last wk n gave Seafood Fried Bee hoon a try! the soy sauce is 騙人的.. the bee hoon din turn out dark at all. shitty amoy soy sauce.. n it’s not even as nice as my kikoman..

somehow fried bee hoon din taste as nice as fried noodle. maybe e yellow egg noodle itself tasted nicer than e tasteless bee hoon.. i needa add more seasonin to bee hoon next time.

Yay Yay my blog is up finally! hopefully this time round i’ll upload fewer pics n save some bandwidth..

i guess there wont be so many travel pics since everyone’s busy wif readings n coursework every wkend n no one’s got any plan to travel till dec. by then xiao xing wld’ve arrived alrdy so i prolly can’t join them..

i actually wanted to go berlin on my own in mid nov cos i really wanna go travel! there’s a promo at ryanair but then when i wanted to book it, the tix were sold out alrdy. boohoo.. neva mind, maybe it’s a blessin in disguise cos it’s not that safe after all i heard.

there’re at least 2 cases of daylight robbery ard my place. one’s jus outside my hall where my hallmate was carryin a laptop bag n some cyclist rode past n tried to snatch it but failed in e end after some strugglin. e dum thing is there was no laptop in e laptop bag. zzz..

i’ve been safe so far, tho there’re times when i walk back alone at nite. in e day there’re lotsa mental-lookin old men who wld stare at me or start sayin “hello gorgeous” tho.. it’s always e same phrases i hear n i seriously think they’re mental/drunkards/on drugs! freaky shit..
