Despite feelin more relaxed and happier after a tour ard downtown london.. i still feel a lil upset. i miss my baby too much.

saw skittles at a store and it reminded so much of him. we’d always split the candy such that i’ll eat red n purple n sometimes green while he’ll eat orange n yellow n sometimes green. heh silly us..

i din get the candy after all.. afraid that it’ll make me think of him even more.

miss ya baby.. hope to see ya soon. two n half mths is short but it’s really unbearable. :`(

today ray brought me ard to check out downtown london. our first stop was chinatown!  

chinatown was pretty fun and interestin! i saw alot of things which were familiar.. like lee kum kee and maggi sauces!

the streets were lined with chinese and jap restaurants! we went to one called misato which was cheap, abt £7 per pax, with good servings. the soba was good! but not e sushi..

after lunch, we walked to piccadilly circus..

i had my fave baskin robbins ice cream!! i love baskin robbins!!!

we saw quite a lot of street artists. this was the first one we saw, startin on his drawing..

we then walked to trafalgar square where the national gallery is.. there were countless of pigeons there! it was nice when they flew in e air, but i was so afraid they’ll shit on me.. hahaha.

 me in my minis and boots! the weather was good n sunny so i cld go out in this ensemble. haha how lucky!

“Look Left” and “Look Right” can be found all over london. it’s pretty helpful actually!

we then proceeded towards enbankment station where London Eye and the Big Ben are. that’s me on the Golden Jubilee Bridges, overlooking River Thames!

this is Westminster Bridge, basically the road that separates London Eye and House of Parliament. reminds me of Nicole Highway haha.

after River Thames, we headed for oxford street at where shoppin is best done. i think it feels pretty much like tokyo’s streets and the popular shops like zara, mango, topshop are almost e same as singapore’s.. they definitely have a wider selection, but they’re not necessarily the nicer ones haha. 

that’s me in front of zara! i saw quite a few nice winter coats (did i mention i love winter shoppin?!!) but i think i shall leave shoppin till next mth since i’ve burst my budget for this half-mth.. spent £300 in e 5 days since i reached. mad mad mad.. but like wat everyone says, they’re one-off costs..

the tubes are so badly ventilated.. there were a couple of times when i felt that my chest was so tight n i was so afraid that i will faint in the tube. haha. some tubes are jus so bad that i get a headache when travellin. sick… 

the internet is so fast at my side n it makes uploadin lotsa pics very convenient!! yay!!

My hall is a newly furbished hall n it feels pretty much like a hospital. haha. the white panels of heaters remind me of the game Theme Hospital.. lol.

that’s e corridor and the stairs at e back of e lift lobby.

on my way to school, i will pass by Bunhill Fields, which is a cemetery but it aint scary lookin at all! at least not in e day when i go to sch.. apparently there’re ppl who do cemetery dining here!

an eye hospital is jus opposite. i’ve been tappin onto their wireless internet connection before i got my own frm e sch. btw my sch’s internet connection is FAST! i love it! haha. now i can webcam wif my baby wif no intermittent!

and ta-da! that’s my small cosy room. it’s really small wif e bathroom and kitchenette all within an area but im pretty ok wif it. in fact i prefer bein in e cosy room to bein outside. heh!

that’s my lil’ nice warm bed (with a heated underblanket!) and my study tablen my small kitchenette.

my bathroom is really really small. there’s only enough space for one person in e shower n one person at e toilet bowl. but it’s ok, as long as it’s new n clean!

i had some really dum advanced stats lecture ytd n today. e class ytd felt like intro to probability in secondary sch. sheesh.. today’s class felt like intro to stats in jc / uni.. i was so bored in ytd’s lecture, i started talkin to a china girl beside. then suddenly this dum ass ang moh turned to us n whispered “quiet!”. she was busy copyin pages n pages of notes. i dunno wat she’s copyin but i guess she’s jus dum. wat a moron. haha!

2 ang mohs actually asked me for directions jus now.. n guess wat! i noe how to direct them!! cool rite..

it’s e wkend n ray’s bringin me ard london (so that i can bring my baby ard ldn in dec too)! can’t wait for baby to come over. miss him so much.. boohoo!

it’s my 3rd day in LDN.. ytd we had a really crappy + useless intro class to advanced maths/stats. basically in 2 hrs e lecturers were gg thru e headings in e notes n tellin us wat they’ll go thru in e NEXT lecture. siao..

this part time lecturer is doin his phd in actuarial science. i think he’s mad. he stammers n it’s e first time i hear an ang moh speakin like him.. repeat: he’s doin his phd in actuarial science. mad mad mad.

i’ve amassed quite a bit of groceries n household items in my little corner. i love grocery shoppin at tesco n argos! haha. ray introduced me to this new thing called Crust-Away Bread! there’s no crust on the bread and wahaha i love the bread!!

the fire alarm in my room went off all of a sudden last nite while i was chattin online. for a moment i was very scared cos i thot sthg has caught fire in my room. then i realised it’s e same in everyone’s room.. jus some short circuit or sthg haha. phew..

finally the day came when i had to say goodbye to my family n frens n leave for london..

family sendin me off at e airport.

yimei (and stanley) were e only frens who came to send me off. i din wan so many ppl there cos i dun wan it to be a teary scene. and yep.. i din cry at all heehee.

apparently ziquan aka the old “student” saw me at e airport cos he was there to send his army buddy off. his buddy happens to be my new found fren frm e same school n whom i’ve arranged to be on e same flight wif!! coincidence coincidence haha.

that’s me and xiao xing bear bear jus before e plane took off. poor us r gonna miss xiao xing so much.

i went to school to visit today. it reminds me of URA, where i used to frequent after work to use e gym wif baby. i miss my baby so much..

then i did quite a bit of grocery shoppin at Tesco near ray’s (my new found fren) hse n bought quite a few electrical appliances frm Argos. the shop front at Argos is pretty interestin.. e shop is pretty empty wif only few shelves n lotsa waitin area n reminded me of a mobile phone service centre.

so first we hadda browse thru e catalogues. there is a stock checker where u can key in the pdt code to check availability and today’s price. then we have to write down e codes of e stuffs we wanna get on e order slips provided n proceed to pay. thereafter we’re given an order number n we’ll wait at e chairs for abt 5-8min to collect our items.

basically u dun get to view e item physically before selectin n payin for it but i guess it’s fine wif e 30-day return policy. it’s a cool idea to me n im so tempted to go back there everyday to use the stock checker!! hahaha.

after some teary partin moments wif carole, i met up wif baby, fiona n nic for dinner at the korean ginseng restaurant under crystal jade!

it was sucha good meal!!

i love the beef most! it’s so juicy n even when i overcooked it (slightly) it still tasted very good! haha..

wat a spread! this is only half e dishes we ordered. nic n fiona loved e chicken most!

It was my last day at Manulife! yippee! basically our last day is for us to take pics n eat good food + ice cream.

before i leave for london, i decided to make a trip down to jb wif my baby. we were there last sat jus to check out the place since i havent really been there before. the only 2 times i was there i only popped by city square on my way to e customs.

that’s us on the causeway link bus. it costs only $0.80.

there was nothin much at city square. it hasnt changed since my last 2 visits 5 yrs ago.. we decided to get orange juice frm mac’s. the mac’s smelled really foul i tell ya. seriously. we had trouble staying in the shop. boohoo.

we decided that i shld look more m’sian so as to avoid muggers. LOL. yep so no spag strap top for me.. n i went into Mango n changed into a decent lookin top.

then we took a cab to holiday plaza. there was nothin there but a hong kong cafe. lol.. we had some quick bites there cos e seafood restaurant nearby was not open yet.

the peanut butter french toast tastes so good!! i tried to make it myself e followin day but failed. boohoo.

after playin on NDS for a while we proceeded to the nearby Jumbo seafood restaurant which was highly recommended by Carole. she mentioned that e prawns there are very fresh!

wat a disappointment the meal turned out to be! the prawns were unfresh n mushy, the asparagus were old n spoiling, the scallops tasted real cheap, the fried you-tiao was overcooked, the tofu and e venison was jus so-so.. they cost RM70+.. not that it’s expensive.. but we seriously din think such bad food can be worth that much. wtf wtf..

our appetite was totally spoilt, we din even take any pics after that.. undetered, we made a trip down to Terbrau mkt and had some yummy cereal crayfish. heehee.

overall the trip was quite an adventure for us since we’ve never been there on our own or by bus before. jb’s not a place where i’ll go back again, but well for e experience this trip was still ok. haha.

i had a private lunch wif my CEO ytd for my farewell. i suggested Top of the M at Meritus Mandarin cos me n baby checked it out few nights ago n the night view was so beautiful!

however ytd it was raining n we cldnt see much outside. n since there werent much to look at, n it wasnt my baby sittin opposite me, i’d end up starin at the frames holdin the glass panes at times.

and guess wat? i felt a little disorientated n giddy! motion sickness… MUAHAHAHA. lousy candy…

the food was very nice! i had scallops w mango n caviar for appetiser, a mushroom soup n cod fillet. unlike dinner, the lunch menu was pretty cheap. if i’m not wrong it’s ard $38 / $48+++ for a 3 or 4 course meal. yum yum!!
