Baby Names
Adeline’s baby is due anytime this wk! so exciting! she’s my first close fren who’s havin a baby! her baby’s gonna be called Hong Le Xuan (Lezann). nice.. i like e chinese name especially!
well then we were on e topic on baby names n suddenly it reminded me of e trouble we singaporeans have when we write our names in a not-so-singaporean context.
on an application form, for eg, u’ll be required to write ur first name and last name. i actually have frens who’re so dum ass to put their surname as their first name cos for eg if they’re called Chan S_ng E_, their first name is Chan and their last name is S_ng E_. hahaha. wat e hell man. i dun mean my baby lar, jus in case u were wonderin. hahaha.
so anyway on my application form for my actuarial course in london, i’ve already put Candy as my first name but somehow frm somewhere, they gathered that my first name is K_ng so that my name can be G_h, K_ng L_ Candy. So in all e mails they’d start wif “Dear K_ng..”
this is lame. i think i’ll devise a smarter way to name my kids in future haha. btw my first girl will be called Aurelia! Au-re-lia. heehee. it sounds like some flower but it means golden/cheerful~! weehee!
i was so excited, adeline thot i was pregnant!! hahaha..
maybe i’ll call her Chan, Aurelia Xiao Xing aka Aurelia Chan for short. LOL.. haha im kiddin lar. but sthg liddat. Chen Xiao Xing sounds quite nice wat.. hahaha.
