i was shoppin at borders last wk n chanced upon this very cute mid-yr diary! it’s a diary frm end june 2007 - end july 2008. i heard someone sayin “this is so duh.. then wat happens to the rest of e mths in 2008?” hehe..

oh well this is obviously not ur usual yearly organiser lar dey. it’s a mid yr or academic diary, which follows e academic year instead of the calendar yr. hehe n it’s exactly wat i’ve been lookin for. it’s e first time i see it in singapore!

so anyway after much hesitation (cos this dum book costs $17 n me being e dum me) i decided to buy e diary on friday. i took it back to the office n wanted to start writin in it already, but not before i tore off e price tag. and then guess wat?

the color came off wif e price tag!!

so i brought it back to borders for an exchange BUT…… there was no more stock. BOOHOOHOO! why must life always be so hard on me??? i was pretty sad n asked for a refund instead.

and then being the die hard candy, i decided to check out borders again on saturday, all ready to buy e organiser again even if it was e defective one. haha. but VOILA! there it was a brand new monkey organiser waitin for me on e shelf. the one n only one. YAY!!

it was our 1/2-yr anni on friday~! ok u ppl who’ve been wif ur bf/gf for yrs will think we’re like duh… but oh well im sure u celebrated ur 1st mth, half-yr etc etc in e past too!

so anyway i decided to make baby a nice photo frame so that he can place it in his office! i started buyin n preparin e materials frm monday.. n after 4 days of frantic errand runnin durin lunch time, 4 late nites n a nose bleed (possibly due to the late nites n stress over exam results! haha!), i managed to rush out a rather pretty lookin thingy for my baby on friday!

so on friday we headed down to e new Central to check out e place. like wat carole mentioned, there were many nice restaurants at e place indeed! we had dinner at Sun with Moon Jap restaurant n i ordered my usual crab hotpot (borin me…) and we had this very nice drink called the Ice Lemon Green Tea! a concoction invented by the restaurant i suppose, it was very refreshin n not too strong like e usual ice lemon (red) tea.

we chanced upon this cool shop sellin japanese snacks & confectionary! we saw all e things me n lynn tried so hard to lug back frm japan back then. dammit.. haha now we can jus buy them here in singapore!

i was so happy! i bought a rice cake wif black honey n a grape jelly thingy! they’re similar to wat i’ve tried in tokyo, but im not sure if they’ll be as nice! hee…

after dinner we decided to have wine at Winegarage. that’s us high frm e wine at midnite. haha. it was my first time out drinkin wif baby.. n it seemed like very fun!

me n fiona darling were at the mango sale today! it’s a VIP-only exclusive sale.. but neither of us have the membership card. hahaha!

wahahaha! the best thing was half the fitting rooms were empty! so i shopped (mainly for bottoms) n tried like at least 10 over pairs of bottoms while waitin for fiona.. but only bought 4 lar. n a nice dressy top n a nice red belt!

last fri we watched Fantastic 4 - the Silver Surfer at the revamped Cathay. the show was quite interesting, but man.. the Cathay was really disappointin!

more than half a yr ago when i first visited that place it was quite empty cos most of e shop spaces were still under renovation (or so we thot).. but now almost 9 mths since it reopened, it’s still less than 50% occupied! and when we were there so many shops were closed! most prob due to poor business… most of e shops were all offerin discounts, free movie tix for purchases, but oh well.. i doubt it really works.

there jus isnt any reason u’d wanna visit that place, except for e cinema or if u simply wanted to check out the place. maybe they shld bring in some popular names like Mango/ Zara which r not found in PS. or more restaurants cos havin jus Billy bombers & the Cathay restaurant simply looks very pathetic. sigh…

i suggested to baby that we shld go there every time for movie in future, to show our support for e buildin of historical value!

and so we decided to go clubbin wif fiona + nic last friday.. it’s a double date! we’re into dbl dates these days! how juvenile rite.. but it’s fun!! 

well st james aint that fun these days. the band at boiler room has changed and they (esp the female singer) suck. it’s always so packed and ppl jus can’t seem to stop walkin n squeezin their way thru. dammit.

tu-tu baby decided that it was his fault tt we din enjoy ourselves n said i can go clubbin on my own in future. i think he’s jus too sick of us tellin him how to bop. muahahaha!
