Day 16:

As expected, we cldn’t hide our heavy baggage frm e check-in person. we got the cute counter guy n he was nice enough to give us a discount! haha well i dunno if they do this all e time but he seems like a nice guy hahaha. ah leng’s luggage was 20kg, n me n ah hui each had abt 35kg. the check-in counter guy charged us for only 10kg, n bloody hell that was alrdy S$450! shit… luckily we din have to pay for it frm our own pockets this time. sheesh..

on board the 777, i met e oldest air steward i’ve ever seen. he’s prolly 50?? well e food sucked so i din eat much n he was very nice to ask if i wanted sthg else to eat. heh like a very caring grandfather!

byebye japan…

6 hrs later, we landed in lovely Singapore! I LOVE SINGAPORE! although japan is cool n fun, ultimately home is still here n i was so glad to be back. home sweet home!

Day 15:

today we packed our luggage n left tomikawa-san’s hse to check into JAL hotel, aka hotel nikko. we thot it’s more convenient cos it’s only 5 min frm e airport n more imptly, we thot it might help since we were seriously overweight for our check-in baggage. at last check my 2 carton boxes (yeah i packed e stuffs i bought in carton boxes! haha) weighed a total of 17kg! my luggage was 18kg, and my humongous hand-carry luggage was abt 10kg! shit. we cld almost die wif e overweight charge!

we bid tomikawa-san goodbye at the hotel.

i was so worried that i have to foot e overweight charge myself, i had absolutely no mood to shop that day. ah hui n leng went to shop at e nearby mall alone while i slept in e hotel feeling so sad. then i watched a talkshow on 911 n i cried n cried. wahaha. then i thot of baby n thot maybe i wont be invited to his good fren’s weddin cos POOR TERESA will be there, n i cried n cried n cried. hai.. wat a sad day. haha.

Day 14:

Miraculously me n ah hui woke up at 6.30am this morn to catch e limited express train to DISNEYLAND! haha we feel so savvy wif e public transport system now.

disneyland is indeed much more crowded than disneysea, but this time we took more rides than in disneysea cos we became smarter n took Fast-passes for e 2 hottest rides, big thunder mouintain n splash mountain. thunder mountain was good cos it was thrillin n yet has no scary plunge. i kinda liked that ride. but when it came to splash mountain, i got cold feet n in e end i looked after e bags while ah hui went for e ride on her own. wahaha lousy candy!

wif more funds pumped into our japan trip shoppin fund (cos it was alrdy depleted!), we managed to enjoy our shoppin quite a bit in disneyland. i bought 3 pairs of mickey mouse boxers for baby. hopefully he’ll agree to wearin them! i also got a pair of mickey + minnie crystal glasses n had our names engraved on them. hmmm but i have no idea when or where or how to use them. at my hse, his hse? one at each place, or together at one place? hai.. maybe we can keep them till we have a solution.

disneyland is indeed the happiest place on earth! the end of e day came sooner than we thot. at 8.30pm we watched e magical fireworks at e center of e park, which also indicated that it was time to leave. we lingered ard outside e park, takin pics of disneyland frm outside, as if to buy some more time ard e place. finally we proceeded to e final store jus beside e park to get our last souvenirs (and took some more pics) n then made our way home.

at Ikebukuro we knew we alrdy cld not make it in time for e last bus back to tomikawa-san’s hse, but we din wanna go back too late either, so we decided to take e limited express again. e display board showed that e tix for limited exp. was sellin out soon, so i threw all my bags wif ah hui, n sprinted as fast as i cld to e end of e platform to get e tix. by e time i got onto e queue, e display boards there showed that there were 11 tix left on board! my heart raced as each person left e queue, prayin that he wont buy like 10 tix at a go or sthg!

lucky us, we got our tix n reached irumashi at abt 11.30pm. as there were no more buses, there was a super long queue for cabs. i suggested walkin outside to get a cab. then that silly ah hui complained of bein cold, n pulled e hood of her dark colored jacket over her head. when a cab approached, i raised my arm to flag it (i presumed that was e universal std!). that weirdo cab-driver gave us an uneasy look n waved his hand slightly to say “no”. and guess wat? he must have thot that im a hooker or sthg n that guy in e hooded jacket was my pimp!! wahahahaha we almost died laughin then!

Day 13:

today we trotted down the streets of Shinjuku! Shinjuku ROCKS!!! oh i love shinjuku wahaha. there’re so many fun things to see n buy over there. today me n ah Hui were on our own. frm e train station we walked towards Kabuki-cho n saw many nice lingerie shops. we obviously din miss e chance to get some nice stuffs. oh but dun think that japan has many nice lingerie. it’s only occasional that u see really nice ones. more than half of their lingerie r filled wif Aunty-lace.

along e way i chanced upon an adult shop. i went in initially thinkin it was a costume shop but realised that there were more to it as i stepped into e dimly lit shop. as i walked further into e shop n looked thru e gadgets on e shelf, i suddenly heard moans. oops! shucks! i thot haha. suddenly i turned n i realised right at e end of e shop there was this big screen on which an AV disc was playin. sheesh. this is sthg really new even for me man. hahaha. i took e opportunity to get sthg Made-in-japan for myself. it’s ranked No. 1 in e shop! wahaha. i also got Erica a doraemon vib cos she’s a fan of doraemon. kinky… wahahaha!

i found a shop that’s even better than ANAP! it’s called Mars n is of a similar concept as ANAP, except that their quality is better n hence their price much higher too. i saw this sexy pencil skirt that has a large V-slit at e back onto which black lace was sewn. a nice contrastin pink ribbon was atop e slit.. HMMM..!! it fit so well n i loved it so much, the currency convertor in my brains kinda malfunctioned. wahaha. as i left e shop, e salesgirl walked me to e door b4 handin me e electric pink paper bag.. wow.

we continued shoppin ard wonderful shinjuku n came to Oicity. this Oi-Oi chain of big department stores is all over tokyo n their stuffs r pretty good. i found Made-in-japan comfortable + chic shoes here! but damn.. they din have my size, so i hadda go to e Ikebukuro branch to get it. n damn, by e time i got there, that one n only pair was JUST SOLD. can u believe my luck??? i have e toughest luck when it comes to sizes! in e end i settled for another nice one at the Ikebukuro branch. haha yay!! i got shoes finally!

Day 12:

our itinerary for today included the Sensoji temple at Asakusa, n e nearby Ameyoko at Ueno. asakusa was jus so-so, prolly cos im not into japanese religions. nevertheless i picked a lot at the temple. i always find such fortune tellin things very interestin heh.

ameyoko was good though! i got lost wif ah Hui shortly after we got onto the busy street, so i continued explorin e place alone. i walked all e way to Okachimachi station frm e start of ameyoko street, which was at Ueno station. wahaha. then i went back e same path n started checkin out e smaller streets that branch out frm e main ameyoko.

and tada! i finally found a shop which has Small sized clothes! it’s called ANAP, n it’s quite common in tokyo. at first look u’d think it’s some ah lian shop but if u make an effort to go thru their stuffs, they actually quite alot of nice clothes! this ANAP at ameyoko has 5 storeys! ( ใ„ใ„ใงใ™!!) or was it 4? or 6? argh i cant rem. but i finally got a chance to buy some clothes in japan! haha.

Day 11:

Ah Hui woke up at 7am today to go back to those onsens that we din manage to try yesterday. i must have caught a cold again yesterday while walkin ard drippin wet ard e Yunessan resort. woke up feelin giddy again so i went back to slp.

i only woke up again at 11am n we proceeded to checkout. it was a long 3-4hr drive back to Irumashi. along e way we stopped by at the big mall near tomikawa-san’s hse, e one i missed e other time cos i was runnin a fever. haha. managed to ‘recoup’ some of e losses heh. at this shoe shop i finally saw made-in-japan shoes n a few nice ones caught my eye. n guess wat again? no size AGAIN. SIAO AH! japan is full of big-feet girls, i gathered. hmph!

anyway check out this super sweet thong that i bought!!

for dinner we went for Nabe. hahaha. have always found this name very amusing. we had this Nabe that was split into half. one side was soyabean milk-soup, e other was sukiyaki soup base. whenever i see jeremy etc eatin sukiyaki they’d pour e egg into e pot n cook e egg, but guess wat? e correct way to eat it is to dip e cooked meat into e raw egg! we had our doubts abt raw eggs initially, but it turned out to be delicious! yummy…

Day 10:

Today we set off for Mt Fuji! mt fuji is in the region of Hakone n prolly cos e temp at hakone is lower, we finally got e chance to see some sakura in full blossom!! yippee!!

mt fuji is awesome! we took so many pics of e snow capped mountain altho it looks abt e same no matter how we took it haha. it was jus too beautiful. e entire hakone region was so captivating. it’s unlike anythin we’ve seen in tokyo n e other major cities in japan.

after reachin mt fuji 5th station, we had lunch at a restaurant there n lingered ard for some photo-takin. we wanted to make our way to the 6th station by foot (cos vehicles were not allowed any further) but our great plans were thwarted by the meltin snow n e floodin roads. sucks.. haha.

we then headed for Yunessan hot spring & spa resort where we stayed for e nite! it was a superb experience! there were countless kinds of hotsprings for us to choose frm. other than e normal indoor n outdoor onsen, there’s e dead sea onsen, e coffee onsen, green tea onsen, sake onsen etc etc. my fave is e outdoor red wine hotspring! haha too bad i din have company to go for e no-swimwear onsens. haha.

Day 9:

Today i was runnin a fever n was feelin very giddy. we went for brunch at this food-court-style place at a big big mall. u have to buy meal ticket to order ur food! then u will receive this remote control like thing which will ring n vibrate to inform u to collect ur food when it’s ready. SO HIGH TECH!

there was so much to shop at the big mall, but i was really unwell so i followed tomikawa-san n ah leng to e fish market n then went home to rest. ah Hui continued shoppin n bought so many things!! so good. :(

tomikawa-san cooked dinner for us tonite. wat a spread! haha it was nice + fun! we each had a super huge scallop.. fresh!!

i looked like crap. :(

Day 8:

i must have caught a cold last nite. it was 8deg! today i ran a fever n was feelin giddy. we decided to follow tomikawa-san as he drove us ard to buy ah Hui’s camera. she bought an Ixus 800 (n it’s not even out yet in S’pore). in japan their ixus is called ixy haha like some pirated one if u dunno.

today tomikawa-san brought us to this popular ramen store for brunch. check out the BIG bowl of ramen! me n ah hui hadda share a bowl, but we cldnt even finish it!

tomikawa-san also drove us to Omiya station where there’s a big Sogo there. it’s not a place where tourists wld go to, but we had a fun time shoppin there! i saw this super pretty shoes n i loved it so much but damn (again!) i tried it on n walked a few steps n it was cuttin into my flesh at e back. shucks man. nowadays abt 90% of the things u see in japan r made in china, which prolly explains e drop in quality. sian. so in e end i cldnt buy it, n i kept thinkin abt that pair of shoes until i think i might wanna custom make it in S’pore. hahaha.

Day 7:

Hey tomikawa-san said there was a slight earthquake last nite! WOW! but we were slpin like a log, we din feel e tremors at all. i hope there wont be any big earthquake anytime soon!

today we’re off to Disneysea finally! who says disneysea is boring??!! hahaha me n ah Hui had such a great time there! e park itself was so beautiful, set by e bay. e entire park was split into differently themed sections, rangin frm mediterranean, arabian, american etc. we managed to visit all e places n took quite alot of rides. they were ALL so fun!!

the best ride was e Temple of Crystal Skull at Indiana Jones land. we were taken on an adventure ride that was so superbly designed. the setting n props all looked so real! at e final part of e ride there was this super huge ball that threatened to roll towards our car n then jus b4 it touched us, we took a mini plunge to our exit area. whoa! haha!

i bought many bags of souvenirs too. check out those hair accessories i bought wahaha! as usual things r expensive here too. at this restaurant we ordered a scallop + salmon dish thinkin that it’ll fill our hungry stomachs. and voila! see wat we got in e end:

haha but all in all Disneysea was a great experience! i can’t wait to go to Disneyland next thurs!
