our cod fish x’mas dinner!

for our first christmas, me n baby decided to cook sthg at home! so i suggested the yummy cod fish recipe that i chanced upon in the papers. so on christmas day, we went shoppin at cold storage at both KAP and Holland V. to get all the stuffs we need. baby wanted pate on potatoes and i was all set to cook the first fish in my life!

so first, we poked holes in the potatoes and put them to boil.
washed potatoes are the best cos they’re clean and easy to cook!

then we season our first cod fillet with salt, pepper, lemon juice & mixed herbs.
mixed herbs make the fish smell delicious~!

then comes the difficult part! i hadda slide the fillet into the fryin pan!!
oil started to splatter ALL OVER my hands!! and the most painful part was when hot oil got onto my neck! poor snow white..

then we faced yet another challenge.. how do we noe if the fish is cooked?
shucks shucks.. so we concluded that an overcooked fish is better than an undercooked one haha. and we ended up wif a somewhat chao ta cod fish fillet. hmm but still it tasted ok..

i decided to give baby the 2nd fillet, which we expected to be better prepared than the first.
apparently practice makes perfect! baby claims that it’s one of the best cod he’s ever tasted. he said the fish was good n not overcooked, the flavour was just nice such that he cld still taste the cod. well, i kinda doubt his words. i decided not to take any pics since our food din look extremely appealing wahaha.

so then baby spreaded pate over the cooked potatoes and laid them nicely on our new disneyland plates while i whipped out the new precious moments cutlery that i bought frm HK!! we also opened a small bottle of red wine which i bought frm DFS. heh i wanted reds despite us havin fish.. and baby jus went along wif my wish! wat a sweetheart..

and we enjoyed our nice quiet dinner at my humble place.. it was sucha fun n interestin cookin n dining affair for me but i sometimes wonder if i was the only one who’s enjoyin it that much heh.
heck, i can’t wait to cook for my darlin again!! hahaha.

i swear i’m outta my mind.

i was uploadin pics for my beijing+ hongkong trip on blog.com, and they suddenly said i’ve exceeded my limit. damn damn! that was so irritatin that i decided to upgrade my account. so i went to the upgrade button, gave it a click and entered my payment details.

i paid $50 for a yr’s subscription to the most basic paid plans. it’s not very expensive but i swear i’m crazy to be spendin money on blogs, when everyone’s usin it for free. argh.. i hate blog.com. i only use it for the nice url i got. shucks shit.

i’m back, i’m back!! (part 2)

hongkong’s DISNEYLAND WAS SO MAGICAL!!! wahaha. i had sucha great time there wif my crazy bro. we did the dumbest things and we whacked all the disney cookies and bowls and plates and wateva crappy things wahaha! but other than that, shoppin was ok.. bought even more cutlery and cute stuffs, some winter coats and many pairs of boots which i can’t wear in singapore. crap wahaha. IMPRACTICAL THINGS ARE MADE JUST FOR CANDY!!

* the disney magic starts right at our hotel.. we watched cute cartoons in our room. so cute!!

* the nice sea view frm our suite. the pool looks temptin but it was too cold for us to go for a dip.

* jacky cheung was at disneyland hotel doin some shoot. hee hee. we cldnt use flash n that explains the blur image.

* the real magic begins 15 dec - Mummy’s bdae! at sleeping beauty’s castle. oh that means my castle. welcome! wahaha.

* on top of tarzan’s treehouse! we hadda take a raft to reach this mini island!

* tomorrowland! we’re the future space walkers!

* cinderella’s carousel~! ahhh.. it’s mine, it’s mine!

* we whacked all the nice stuffs in the disneyland shops! that was the best shoppin we had in hk! haha.

* and i met the real snow white. i’m her asian counterpart!

* the wonderful day ended with a *magical* firework display atop sleeping beaty’s castle. wished my baby was wif me to witness it..

* apart frm hk disneyland, we also went to the giant buddha at lantau island..

* we did most of our shoppin at the ladies’ street, where i bought even more fun + cute stuffs!

* the Victoria peak.. the tram ride to the peak was fun!

* suddenly minnie mouse was spotted on the streets of mongkok one night!

* we bumped into cousin + bf at the HK international airport.. and then i missed my flight. bloody hell.

and so poor snow white stayed in hk alone while everyone left for home. but the hotel was pretty nice. i had yummy breakfast the next morn to make myself feel better. and then it was home sweet home!! YIPPEE!

i’m back, i’m back!! (part 1)

it was so cold in beijing, and shaun’s fren’s hse was so dirty and dry, i cldn’t wait to leave that place and return to my baby in singapore. heh but minus that, i had great fun throughout my trip! had the company of shaun and 2 other very fun guys and we went clubbin (RnB!!), we had good food, we snowboarded, and i visited all the places of interest that i wanted to see! yippee!

* aunty wai chiong sewin the buttons on my fav peacoat so tt they wont drop durin my trip!

* 1st two days were shopping in beijing! the things they have here are much cheaper than in hk.

* the lakes in the summer palace have all frozen! we walked on one of them and whoa! the feelin was indescribable!

* argh.. check out the Great Wall. we have to conquer that plus alot more stations thereafter before we can get our cert. damn.

* welcome! i’m an imperial concubine of the Ching dynasty and this is my back palace in the forbidden city.

* whenever i’m free i like to take a stroll in my imperial garden. hehe.

* YAY! our beijing trip included a night’s stay at nanshan ski resort. nice..

* yoohoo! SNOWBOARDIN ROCKS! How i wish i can snowboard more often..
