the story goes: chin cheong & apple were at the isetan private sale yesterday durin lunch when chin cheong saw an extremely cute pair of round-toed suede pumps from nine west. — i bet it’s a consequence of seein too many round-toed pumps on the streets. the more u see sthg, e more u can accept it & like it. wat effect do u call this in psychology??
anyway, as usual chin cheong neva eva gets wat she wans so expectedly they ran out of her size. not givin up, she continued to check out takashimaya and then wisma for that mary-jane-inspired pumps altho there were no sale there. both places had her size, but damn! the taka pair had a real big scratch on the suede & the wisma one was alrdy faded since they both were display pairs.
bein the die-hard shoppin queen, she continued searhin for them today at nine west raffles city where she’s alrdy reserved a new pair. but then.. this new pair similarly cld not meet chin cheong’s selection criteria for new shoes as there were glue bits that can’t be removed on the nice suede(!)
soundin like the store mgr, chin cheong told the salesgirl, “there’s no more new pair in isetan scotts, taka & wisma. cld u check for me if there’s a new pair at metro paragon pls?” and voila! hahaha. new pair, new pair waitin at paragon!
so, keepin her fingers crossed, chin cheong travelled to paragon to check out the final pair of pumps and guess wat? the suede was perfect! chin cheong somehow recalled that cousin is a metro member so she called cousin - * who was so miraculously in paragon too!! * - to come pass her the member card.
the result? it’s chin cheong’s lucky day today! she got a 20% off her new fave shoes and that’s the LOWEST PRICE IN TOWN!! hahaha. see, it pays to be fussy at times doesn’t it?

Me at the Isetan Private Sale also! Actually, I did not have anything to buy in mind one but ended up buying more than my colleague lor..haha..I can truly understand how far one can go to get something that they like so much..that time I went all the way from orchard to tampines just to get a dress haha…but I think all the effort is really worth it! If not sure regret one..hee.
